Please join us in congratulating Jacob Wilson (Director of Customer Solutions) and Mitchell Small (Solutions Engineer) on the recent news that they’ve joined the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick, earning their P.Eng. designations earlier this month!
A Significant Milestone
Eigen’s only other P.Eng. on staff, James Finch, had this to say regarding the news and the importance of the designation:
“Engineering is a self-regulated profession in each province across Canada, with a mandate to uphold professional practice standards and ensure public health and safety are paramount. Becoming a P.Eng. is significant in that it represents the individual achievement of the combined education, experience, and ethics necessary to professionally practice engineering and protect public interest.”
“This is an important milestone for new engineers like Jacob and Mitchell as they join the community of practicing professionals within the province of New Brunswick and across the country.”
Impact at Eigen Innovations
Critical to the process at Eigen, Jacob and Mitchell ply their trade designing, implementing, optimizing, and managing machine vision solutions for our customers.
This is not the first significant personal achievement for Jacob during his more-than-five-year tenure at Eigen, as he received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering in 2019 – joining Research and Development Lead Joshua Pickard in the staff doctorate club.
Exciting things are on the horizon for both of these newly designated professional engineers as they continue to help deliver and scale Eigen’s machine vision platform to customers around the world.
