Challenge
A Tier 1 automotive parts manufacturer could not detect critical issues on injected-molded plastic components that could lead impact seal quality during welding.
Solution
Eigen designed a vision solution that combined thermal and optical camera to capture images that could be used to train an inspection models to make defects visible. Using data and inspection records generated by Eigen’s OneView software, the team can analyze trends and identify process issues/drift that caused defects.
